Maryland Summer Review
2021 was one of the warmer overall summers for the state of Maryland dating back to 1895, mostly due to much-above-average Minimum Temperatures. Here are the statewide rankings for various temperature categories, covering Meteorological Summer (June 1st – August 31st):

Maximum Temperatures:
1. Ranked #12 warmest August with 86.8°.
2. Ranked #14 warmest Summer with 86.0°
Minimum Temperatures:
1. Ranked #9 warmest June with 63.0° (tying 2013, 2008, 1994, 1922).
2. Ranked #1 warmest August with 68.0° (tying 2018 and 2016).
3. Ranked #4 warmest Summer with 66.0° (tying 2005)
Mean Temperatures:
1. Ranked #12 warmest June with 73.3°.
2. Ranked #3 warmest August with 77.4°.
3. Ranked #5 warmest Summer with 76.0°.
